Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
-Serve meals and clean up dining room. We work as a team!!
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the resident's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations.
- Understanding of infection control protocols and practices.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
Skills:
- Familiarity with providing care in assisted living, or hospice settings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for residents.
