Job purpose
- The Field Service Technician is responsible for completing assigned tasks and projects at customer and Persico global facilities.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include below tasks and other supporting functions to accomplish the same:
- Perform final build, testing, and run-off of equipment and tools at Persico or vendor facilities.
- Perform final installation and run-off of equipment and tools at customer facilities.
- Communicate open items with program managers and provide detailed updates on the status of projects and tasks assigned.
- Be an onsite interface with customers for communication and coordination of project activities and priorities.
- Keep detailed service reports records and ensure the customer acknowledges closed and open items listed per the scope of the work for the project or tasks.
- Assist engineering and sales with onsite requests for engineering changes on equipment and tools and report feasibility with time, material, and services needed to complete the change.
- Assist sales and material management department in providing spare parts and other customer requests related to equipment maintenance and improvement.
- Ensure professional relations with customers and communication at all times.
- Complete work with quality and craftmanship required per customer and Persico specifications.
- Manage performance measures, and provide regular progress reports to the manager.
- Perform training for customer employees on new tools and equipment on function, maintenance, and setups.
- Track time and cost of work performed for service on labor and material.
- Other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
Minimum education requirements:
- High school diploma with specialized training in tool making and custom equipment building with basic training in PLC and electrical schematics.
Preferred Education:
- College diploma and manufacturing.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of previous related experience in an assembly manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics troubleshooting.
- Use of a computer to read prints, create reports and connect to equipment for remote support.
Additional Skills:
- Microsoft Office Software experience
- PLC AllenBradley, Simens, Omron…
Working conditions
This position requires work in a shop floor environment.
Travel up to 75 % of the time.
A valid USA passport with international travel to Mexico and Canada is required.
Physical requirements
This position requires the use of computers and other office equipment with minimal supervision.
Use of power tools and other devices within ergonomic guidelines.

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
