Position Summary
McCourt Equipment is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Service Writer / Administrative Coordinator to join our Service Department. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers requesting service and is responsible for coordinating repair requests from start to finish.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication and organizational skills. This role requires someone who can multitask, prioritize effectively, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting our technicians and service team.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and emails regarding service requests.
- Create and maintain work orders in our ERP system.
- Schedule service technicians and coordinate daily service activities.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair status, scheduling, and completion of work.
- Process parts requests and coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely repairs.
- Follow up with technicians and customers to verify work has been completed and customer expectations have been met.
- Maintain accurate customer and service records.
- Assist in preparing estimates, invoices, and service documentation.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Coordinate communication between customers, technicians, and internal departments.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support the Service Department.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
- Previous administrative, customer service, service writing, or scheduling experience preferred.
- Experience in the construction, heavy equipment, or automotive industry is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
