Position Title
Night Audit/Guest Service Representative (11pm –7am)
Job Description
Position Purpose
Assist the General Manager with overseeing the Hotel operations to maximize revenues and profits while attaining optimal guest satisfaction. Attend to guests’ needs including but not limited to: providing exceptional customer service and maintaining brand standards, registration, check-out and reservations procedures.
Essential Functions
- Ability to maintain all aspects of the hotel operation unsupervised.
- Review daily accounting procedures and complete night audit computer functions.
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, and all required information is recorded accurately.
- Accept and handle payment information accurately and within company policy.
- Maintain house bank and deposits accurately within company policy.
- Capture sales through reservations and sales inquiries.
- Coordinate front desk activities to ensure that guest service standards are consistently met.
- Resolve guest concerns in accordance with brand standards and hotel policy.
- Coordinate daily operations and communication between departments to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
- Maintain the Front Desk area for appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness.
- Assist guests in person, by phone or by email with future reservations.
- On a regular basis, this position requires talking, listening, close visual acuity, kneeling, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, balancing, grasping, repetitive motion, extreme heat and cold and the ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
- The ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
Supportive Functions
- Assist in handling mail, email, and facsimiles and provide guests with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Wash, fold, and put away laundry in housekeeping storage rooms.
- Set up Assist with the Breakfast during high demand times.
- Complete required cleaning and special projects determined by hotel management.
