Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on assigned construction projects. This role coordinates and supervises all subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Superintendent manages site logistics, monitors progress, conducts inspections, and maintains project documentation such as daily reports and logs. This position collaborates closely with project managers, owners, architects, and inspectors to resolve issues, support budget and schedule goals, and uphold company safety and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong construction field supervision skills, including coordinating trades, managing site activities, and enforcing safety standards.
- Experience interpreting construction documents, including plans, specifications, schedules, and change orders.
- Proficiency in project documentation and reporting, such as daily logs, quality inspections, and compliance records.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to guide crews, interact with clients, and work collaboratively with project teams.
- Solid understanding of building codes, industry best practices, and quality control procedures in commercial and industrial construction.
- Ability to use basic construction management software, mobile applications, and common office tools to support field operations.
- Several years of superintendent or comparable field management experience on commercial or multi-family projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, problem-solving, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Brooklyn, NY and travel locally as needed for project-related activities.
Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
