We have an outstanding Contract position for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Andover, MA surrounding area.
**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**
The 1st‑Shift Facility Maintenance Technician provides general upkeep and basic repairs for plant and office facilities, primarily at the Andover facility, while also supporting additional buildings as needed.
Job Responsibilities:

Working the M-TH 1st Shift, this position handles routine facilities issues and basic equipment troubleshooting ranging from electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks.

Follows work orders and/or other general instructions, conducts inspections, logs completed work, and offers limited janitorial support (e.g., trash removal, floor cleaning) when workload permits or support is required.
Basic Hiring Criteria:

High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification or 1-2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience preferred), can work independently and efficiently, demonstrate basic critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities, and are proficient with hand/power tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems.

The ability to obtain a security clearance is required. Interim clearance is required to start the position.

2+ years of maintenance experience.

2+ years of facilities experience.

2+ years of experience with general maintenance.
