JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is a support role to management staff engaged in and responsible for managing the construction, design and development coordination for the development of Sahara Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Independently manage materials and manpower in support of a large complex casino renovation project with high degree of quality while meeting the budget and completing project on time
- Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with all team members, subcontractor representatives and service providers operating on the project
- Operate company equipment as required to safely move materials and equipment throughout the property in support of on-going projects.
- Manage third-party labor forces, including evaluating candidates, placing personnel in the most efficient roles based on evaluation of their performance.
- Maintain materials across different property storage areas in a neat, orderly manner.
- Assist the Design & Construction Superintendent(s) in all tasks as assigned
- Manage and maintain sufficient quantities of consumables to keep construction operations functioning. This includes propane, sweeping compound, protection materials, temporary installations, etc.
- Provide clean up of on-going projects as required to foster a tidy and safe work environment.
- Coordinate swapping of dumpster bins with an approved vendor in support of on-going construction operations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possesses current operator certifications for equipment used at SAHARA Las Vegas, including forklifts and scissor lifts. Re-certification and additional certification classes will be provided as required to maintain department operations.
- Strong project communication skills, interpersonal, written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Composure and professionalism while under pressure, must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting constant deadlines and maintaining strong attention to details.
