Lancaster Farm Fresh Organics is seeking experienced, dependable Box Truck and Straight Truck Delivery Drivers to join our growing team. We offer full-time and part-time opportunities, with weekend work may be required, and year-round and seasonal positions available.
This role is ideal for someone looking for stable, meaningful work with room to grow. At the end of every shift, you’ll know you helped support local farmers and sustainable food systems.
Please note: We do not currently have any van routes available.
About the Work
We haul for a non-profit farmers’ cooperative of 120 farms, delivering predominantly organic produce, along with meat, dairy, and dry goods. Routes include local farm pickups and deliveries to Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, and the Washington, DC area.
Routes typically begin in the early morning hours. Some days are shorter, others are longer — flexibility is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and straight trucks
- Load and unload products using handcarts and pallet jacks
- Deliver products accurately and on time to designated locations
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Job Requirements
- Experience driving larger vehicles in urban environments
- Clean driving record (required)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Reliable, positive attitude with a “whatever-it-takes” mindset
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per DOT regulations)
- Experience driving a 26-foot box truck preferred
- Valid DOT medical card preferred (must be able to pass a DOT physical if not currently certified)
CDL drivers are encouraged to apply.
We operate straight trucks and Class B vehicles, with future expansion into tractor trailers.
Schedule & Overtime
- Early morning start times
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime frequently available, especially May–October
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position involving frequent loading and unloading using handcarts and pallet jacks. If you are not comfortable with hands-on, physical work, this role may not be the right fit.
