Job Summary

Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws when necessary.
- Support early childhood education initiatives by assisting with classroom activities, educational games, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily updates, progress reports, and any concerns related to the child's well-being or behavior.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when needed to ensure immediate response to minor injuries or health issues.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering (for infants), nap times, and hygiene tasks while maintaining a warm and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Valid certifications in First Aid and CPR from recognized organizations; ongoing training preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for parent updates and team collaboration.
- Ability to plan activities tailored to different age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection.
- Classroom or daycare experience that highlights your ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Passion for caregiving with a proactive attitude towards safety, education, and emotional support.
