Wolf Contractors Inc. has been a top site contractor in the Hampton Roads area for over 40 years and has completed over 1,040 civil construction projects in the Tidewater area. Wolf Contractors is seeking a motivated individual for a full time Diesel Mechanic position to work at our Newport News shop to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
As a Diesel Mechanic at Wolf Contractors, Inc, you'll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks, analyze malfunctions and repairs, and complete minor and major heavy equipment repairs. Maintenance and repair work is completed at our Newport News shop and on jobsites throughout the Hampton Roads area. Field mechanics will report to the Newport News shop every morning at 6:30 AM and will take the service truck to jobsites throughout Hampton Roads to perform repairs in the field.
Qualifications:
- Successful candidate will have at least five years of prior diesel mechanic experience.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B is a plus.
- State Inspector is a plus.
- Experience with Cat equipment is required.
- Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required.
- Clean background check is required. We perform work on military bases and a clean background check is required for clearance.

- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Expert knowledge of construction equipment
- Ability to lift items up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be safe while working or driving.
- Must have proper P.P.E. for the environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
