Below is just a glimpse of the day to day, but what it doesn't show are the outcomes of what you bring to the classroom and to the kids.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing lesson plans based on the curriculum and/or research fun and engaging activites for the classroom. Help kids with homework.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students within the classroom. Including but not limited to: escorting youth from general rooms to designated rooms, effective classroom management, handling physical injury, or other danger present in the classroom.
- Working effectively as a team player with other staff members to help carry out the daily operations of the classroom and organization.
- Ensure classroom/designated area is swept, trash disposed of, chairs stacked, and tables/desks are clean.
- Maintain inventory and request of supplies, disburse snacks to children, accurately account for all designated children in tracking system.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times with parents, teachers, and other staff members.
- Participate in trainings, events, fundraisers, meetings, or other relevant activities
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma minimum is required. Secondary Education is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in an educational or youth related setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting background check, and comply with all child protection policies and procedures.
