Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and providing comprehensive evaluations of patients' sleep patterns. Your expertise in sleep medicine and physiology will be essential in diagnosing sleep disorders and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct polysomnographic studies, including monitoring and recording physiological data during sleep.
- Perform physical examinations and assess patients' vital signs prior to testing.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data, including medical history and test results.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Educate patients about the procedures involved in sleep studies and address any concerns they may have.
- Stay current with advancements in sleep medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy, anatomy, and physiology related to sleep disorders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and experience in a sleep center setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
