Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating a variety of projects, from commercial to residential sites. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks like framing, formwork construction, rebar installation, and concrete pouring
- Mix concrete using concrete mixers and pump concrete as needed for various applications including foundation work and finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, tiles, and other building components
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as concrete pumps or mixers is a plus
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with concrete finishing techniques including caulking, stucco application, plastering, and tile laying
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing tools, and other construction equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction sites to maintain a safe working environment
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions

Pay: $18.50 - $35.00 per hour
