About this position:
The HVAC Technician position is part of a team responsible for operating and maintaining the Seattle Center boilers, chillers, heat pumps, AC units, plus all Air Handling Units and mixing boxes in the buildings and facilities. This HVAC Engineering unit is part of the Division of Technical Facilities Management. This position reports to the HVAC Crew Chief.
A City of Seattle Grade II Steam License is REQUIRED; however, we are accepting applications from applicants with a Grade III City of Seattle Steam Engineers license, with the condition that they must obtain a City of Seattle Grade II Steam Engineers license, within six months of employment.
The full pay range for this step-progression position is $71.62 - $77.49 per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression, which is $71.62 hourly. Current City employees’ starting rate of pay will be based on Personnel Rules regarding promotions.
