Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid PA driver's license and a PA Department of Transportation (DOT) 3-year driving history that is acceptable per company standards. A US DOT Medical Examiner's Certification is required upon hire for this non-CDL position. Must have a sound understanding of maps and directions. Must be able to operate a smart phone with navigation app. Must be able to sit to drive for length of delivery trip, which can be up to a maximum of 2.5-3 hours each way.
Summary: Delivery Driver will deliver fundraiser food items to customers within a three (3) hour radius. This is a part-time position that is a great opportunity for someone looking to supplement their income and who enjoys meeting new people. Driver will work in a fun, friendly atmosphere with flexible hours and start times. Must unload MFS delivery vehicle in a timely, safe manner. Required to lift and work with loads of up to 30 lbs. Must be punctual and provide pleasant and friendly customer service. Must be able to work early morning and afternoon shifts. The starting rate of pay for this position is $18 per hour.
Essential Functions:
- Drive delivery trucks to and from fundraising locations.
- Obey all driver safety rules.
- Adhere to the Company Driver’s Policy as outlined in the Employee handbook.
- Fuel vehicles when needed and upon return from delivery route.
- Establish and map delivery routes to ensure timely delivery to all customers.
- Unload delivery trucks by hand with loads of up to 30 lbs.
- Carry and lift products off the truck across varying types of terrain.
- Verify orders are correct.
- Perform and document DOT pre and post trip inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service and report any complaints to management immediately.
- Deliver invoices to customers. Verify and collect payments upon delivery.
- Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
- Assist Management with order sorting when needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Adhere to dress code policy.
- Must be reliable and able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
