The Pre-Construction Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that assigned Commercial PV projects, including new construction, retrofit rooftop, carport, and battery systems, move smoothly from contract signed to permit approval. This role will be a primary contact for customers, so the PC Project Manager and their team members will play an important role in providing excellent customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Pre-Construction Project Manager will be responsible for 30+ commercial project per year from contract signing through handoff to Construction Manager, including:
- Set up, assign, and track Procore Tasks through Permit Approval
- Lead project kickoff meeting with client
- Review and confirm engineering method from 3 party design partners meets TENCO standards and contract criteria.
- Create SolarEdge stringing and roof loading plans
- Support with the interconnection application
- Review, coordinate, and implement any required corrections
- Create and submit any Change Orders needed prior to Permit Approval
- Create RFIs and submittals.
- Create Bill of Materials, schedule BOM review, and complete final review and approve BOM.
- Collect quotes from subcontractors for design, engineering, and construction, negotiate scope of work, and coordinate work orders.
- Lead Commercial Design review meetings with both internal staff and customer prior to submission to AHJ.
- Permit Submission and payment of fees to applicable AHJs
- Proactively communicate with customers (and stakeholders) so they are updated as to the status and next steps required to complete each project.
- Ensure projects receive AHJ approval and permit issuance.
- Maintain project budgets and execute projects on time and budget.
- Maintain regular communication with CFO about project milestone completion so invoices are generated in a timely and accurate manner per the contract.
- Navigate various project management software such as Procore, BIM 360, Con Docs, etc.
- Lead handoff meeting to pass the project on to Construction Manager and serve as back-up support for project through completion.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required, BA/BS preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial project management, construction scheduling, supply chain management, and vendor relationship management
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software quickly, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Procore, and Service Fusion
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- High degree of attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, and excellent organization skills
- Self-starter, motivated, and proactive with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with Procore is highly desired

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (some flexibility with approval from manager)
Salary: $100,000-130,000
