Responsibilities
- Assist in planning menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate dietary needs
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and managing food stations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in dietary departments, restaurants, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Proven skills in food handling, knife skills, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Experience with catering or large-scale meal production is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience will be considered an asset
