Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demonstrations
- Manage cash handling duties with precision, including cash, credit/debit card transactions, and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Follow phone etiquette protocols when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for daily operations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in grocery store environments or similar retail settings is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
