Under direct training of a registered nurse, performs scrub activities and assists with a variety of patient care activities for patients of varying ages in the operating room setting.
Work Experience

One (1) year of recent Operating Room experience.
License/Registration/Certification

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Education and Training

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program of study.

Possesses effective oral communication skills.

Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Surgical Technologist.

Skill and ability to concentrate and monitor instrument, sharps, and sponge counts.
