Support Complex Litigation for a Growing National Organization
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Litigation Paralegal to join our in-house legal department. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with General Counsel and legal leadership on a wide variety of employment, commercial, corporate, and civil litigation matters affecting a nationwide organization.As a national provider of security services and facilities maintenance solutions with more than 5,000 employees across multiple jurisdictions, we manage a diverse and active litigation portfolio. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and takes ownership of projects from inception through resolution. This role requires strong litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
What You'll Do
As Litigation Paralegal, you will provide comprehensive litigation and legal support across all phases of legal matters while helping ensure the efficient operation of the Legal Department.
Litigation Support
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation through trial, arbitration, mediation, and appeal
- Draft, review, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Coordinate and manage document collection, review, production, and organization
- Prepare discovery responses and assist with document productions
- Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and case management systems
- Coordinate service of process, court filings, and hearing logistics
- Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, witness files, and hearing materials
- Assist with legal research and factual investigations
Legal Department Support
- Maintain legal files and case management records
- Coordinate communications with outside counsel, insurance carriers, government agencies, and business stakeholders
- Assist with employment-related matters, administrative agency responses, and regulatory compliance projects
- Review contracts and assist with document preparation as assigned
- Support corporate governance and legal operations initiatives
- Monitor litigation expenses, invoices, and legal budgets
Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal projects
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
- Organize electronic and physical legal files
- Assist in developing efficient legal department processes and workflows
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department as needed
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court rules
- Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, and litigation documents
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting employment litigation and corporate legal matters
- Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures
- Experience working with outside counsel and litigation management systems
- Prior in-house legal department experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
