1.Answer incoming emergency and routine assistance calls for the Police Department.
2.Independently assess need and urgency of requests and situations and dispatch emergency response personnel including law enforcement personnel and mutual aide personnel to incident/accident scenes.
3. Receive and accurately relay/transcribe information, messages and requests for the Communications Center.
4. Enter data and information into Triton College Police Department and State computer databases.
5. Operate radio and telecommunication systems including UHF & VHF mobile and portable radios, fax machines, and telephones.
6. Maintain knowledge of current communication policies and procedures and state, national and local dispatch standards.
7. Participate in on-going training.
8. Answer telephone requests for information, performs emergency warning notifications, perform clerical and general office functions, and provide court testimony as required.
9. Monitor burglar and fire alarms, and notify appropriate person/agency as required, operates LEADS system: Enters stolen vehicles/items, missing persons and other information, maintains logs, record and file as required.
10. Operate closed circuit television systems and numerous interior and exterior controllable cameras throughout campus.
11. Other duties as assigned.
