Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly interactions and efficient service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas
- Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality
- Perform basic math calculations for order processing and cash handling
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance barista skills and product knowledge
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
