Ready to trade the mundane for a fulfilling role where you build beauty with your hands?
Join a company that honors craftsmanship, encourages problem-solving, believes in team, and supports work-life balance. We’re seeking a reliable and responsible Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting Installer & Service Technician to join our team in Boise, Idaho.
Do you have a background in a skilled, hands-on trade like construction, low voltage, hardscaping, or irrigation? Are you a quick learner eager to master a new craft? If working outdoors, implementing designs meticulously from start to finish, and seeing the immediate, visible impact of your effort excites you, then we are interested!
Your Role: Artisan of the Night
As a Landscape Lighting Technician, you are the one who paints with light. You’ll take beautiful homes and, after sunset, transform them into secure, welcoming, and breathtaking spaces. Your work is tangible, creative, and highly valued.
On the job, you will:
- Create the Glow (Installation): Expertly install low-voltage transformers and a stunning variety of high-end lighting fixtures across beautiful residential landscapes including tall trees, rooflines, etc.
- Master the Subtlety (Infrastructure): Precisely trench and bury low-voltage wiring. Your goal is a perfectly hidden, seamless system that ensures the focus is always on the light, never the wires.
- Hardscape Engineering: Operate core drills and hammer drills to channel pathway lighting through stone, brick, concrete, and pavers.
- Be the Expert (Service & Troubleshooting): Act as the resident problem-solver. You will utilize a basic understanding of electrical current, wires, and polarity to diagnose, trace wire breaks, check voltage drops, and service existing systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade Experience: Prior experience in landscaping, irrigation, hardscaping, masonry, or outdoor residential services is a significant advantage.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable and capable of physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions, including digging, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Technical Basics: A fundamental understanding of electrical currents, wiring, and polarity. No formal certifications are required.
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required to operate company installation vehicles. Reliable daily transportation to our business location is expected.
