What You’ll Bring
- At least 18 years old and a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a TB test according to school requirements
- Can stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Willingness to obtain or present current school clearances prior to beginning work
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Understanding of supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods welcome, but not required
- Dependable, positive, and ready to work collaboratively
Core Responsibilities
- Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the school day
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school personnel
- Encourage participation, aid daily routines, and assist with transitions in class
- Follow individualized behavior support plans and IEPs as applicable
- Assist with mobility, safety supervision, and personal care needs
- Maintain an inclusive, respectful learning environment for every student
