About the Role:
The Family Justice Center (FJC) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Intake Legal Specialist to support survivors of domestic violence in accessing critical legal services. This role provides an opportunity to make a direct impact in helping individuals navigate the civil justice system and build safer futures.
Key Duties:
- Conduct client intake and assessments
- Provide information on legal protections (Orders of Protection, custody, etc.)
- Coordinate referrals to attorneys and legal partners
- Support legal clinics and court preparation
- Collaborate with partner agencies
Qualifications:
- Background in social services, legal support, or advocacy preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with trauma-informed populations
