West Side Beer Distributing is hiring for a Full-Time Forklift Operator in Lansing.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4am to 12:30pm
Compensation: $24.00 per hour
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Operate forklift to load, unload and transport materials in the warehouse. Duties consist of unloading and storing products delivered to the warehouse; assembling pallets with product to be loaded on route trucks in proper rotation as instructed by warehouse management system. Stripping product and empties from route trucks. Accurately replenish pick locations directed by WMS or visual inventory inspection by pick locations. Responsible for adhering to company policies, OSHA standards and supplier agreements.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete loading of route trucks.
- Electronically records all product movement receiving, replenishments and picks in the WMS.
- Follow FIFO inventory system when loading all products.
- Ensure all trailers to be unloaded or loaded are secure and chocked according to company policy.
- Move controls to drive forklift trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Responsible for keeping company equipment clean and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor.
- Report all accidents to management and fill out an accident/incident report immediately.
- Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Complete pre-trip inspection of forklift and turn in daily.
- Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, or other transport vehicles.
- Verify inventory of incoming and outgoing product loads to ensure accuracy.
- Assemble product on to pallets accurately and load into route trucks.
- Rotate product according to supplier agreement.
- Strip product and empties from route trucks and festival events.
- Handle and move product in a safe manner to prevent any product breakage or damage.
- Responsible for any on-going training.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: One to two years related experience
Computer Skills: Proficient with basic computer skills.
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License; Commercial Driver’s License is preferred
Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report.
