PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING! We are seeking an EXPERIENCED tour guide with a flexible schedule to take our guests out on Rydables Tours. Rydables are fun animal scooters and are made for adults but enjoyed by adults and kids. Checkout our website raleighrydables.com

- As a Tour Guide, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and informative experiences for our guests. You will lead Rydables tours, share fascinating stories, and educate visitors about the history and significance of various sites. Your ability to communicate effectively and connect with diverse audiences will be essential in creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Educate guests about the historical, cultural, and environmental significance of the locations visited.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns from tour participants.
- Prepare and maintain tour materials, including brochures and informational resources.
- Adapt tours to accommodate different group sizes, interests, and language preferences.
- Utilize public speaking skills to engage audiences and maintain their interest throughout the tour.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance tour offerings and improve guest satisfaction.
Skills
- 2 Years of experience as a tour guide. That includes individuals who were guides on college campuses. EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!
- MUST WORK WEEKENDS
- MUST BE AVAILABLE 2 time slots on Saturdays and 2 on Sundays. Must be flexible and available for same day bookings.
- MUST PROVIDE AVAILABILITY FOR the entire month by the end of the previous month.
- $200 guaranteed per week for 1 lead tour guide Between March 1 and December 31. Will pay a per tour rate during January and February. This rate is for up to 5 tours. If the guide completes more than 20 tours in a month a rate of $40 per tour will be paid for the additional tours.
- $150 guaranteed per week for a second tour guide Between March 1 and December 31st. Will pay a per tour rate during January and February. This rate is for up to 4 tours. If the guide completes more than 16 tours in a month a rate of $40 per tour will be paid for the additional tours.
- End of season bonus paid after December 31st.
- This is a great job for a retiree, stay at home parent, teachers, graduate students
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must live in Raleigh area and have reliable transportation
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Must provide professional references from current and immediate past jobs
- Must be PUNCTUAL
- Must be able to manage the Rydables
- Excellent public speaking abilities to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for communicating with a wider range of guests.
- Leadership qualities to guide groups confidently through various settings.
- Effective time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule.
- Ability to educate visitors in an engaging manner while adapting content based on audience knowledge levels.
