Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher for the 4 year old children. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. We encourage a mix of learning through play, hands on activities and a more conventional teaching approach. Your leadership will guide a team of educators and support staff to create a positive, inclusive space where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Duties
- Develop and implement age appropriate comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of all preschool children.
- Manage daily classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and individualized learning plans to ensure each child's developmental progress.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support early intervention initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality classroom management and instructional practices.
- Conduct assessments to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, and compliance documentation in accordance with childcare regulations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Proven experience in curriculum development across diverse early childhood settings including daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to nurture positive behavior management techniques.
- Expertise in working with children with special education needs and implementing inclusive teaching practices.
- Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, teaching physical education, and Montessori methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that promote holistic growth.
