Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled RN Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves providing expert clinical instruction, training, and leadership to nursing staff across various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in critical care, hospital environments, and adult education, with a focus on fostering clinical excellence and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. As an RN Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in enhancing patient care quality through staff development and ongoing education initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for clinical staff, emphasizing adult learning principles and adult education methodologies.
- Conduct clinical instruction sessions to enhance nurses’ skills in patient care, medical documentation, and medical terminology.
- Lead precepting efforts for new hires and provide ongoing mentorship to promote professional growth within the nursing team.
- Ensure all staff adhere to health regulation policies, HIPAA compliance, and state healthcare regulations while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- Collaborate with hospital and home care teams to standardize clinical procedures and improve overall care delivery.
- Facilitate training on physiology, anatomy, and medical records management to support clinical staff competency.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and provide targeted training interventions to address identified gaps in knowledge or practice.
Qualifications
- Extensive critical care experience including ICU, pediatric, or acute care settings; nursing home experience is highly desirable.
- Proven background in hospital environments with a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical staff training, precepting, and adult education techniques.
- Knowledge of health regulation policies such as HIPAA and state healthcare regulations governing medical documentation and records.
- Leadership experience in nursing or healthcare teams with a focus on training & development and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate and inspire clinical teams toward excellence.
