American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of experience for an evening shift contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Large academic medical center in Milwaukee, WI, designated as a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet-recognized facility with 933 beds
-
MRI department with 6 scanners (5 currently in operation) serving a weekly census of 250-300 patients
-
Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients across Neuro, Oncology, Musculoskeletal, and whole body imaging; experience with implantable devices, ventilated, and sedated patients required; Breast MRI, Breast MRI Biopsy, and Cardiac MRI experience preferred

1:1 patient ratio

Equipment includes GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra

Charting via Epic (required) and McKesson PACS (required)

8-hour evening shifts, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
-
Weekend on-call (Saturday and Sunday nights, 9:00 PM–6:30 AM) and backup on-call (Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM–9:00 PM) on a rotating basis, approximately once every 8 weeks; weekend on-call includes on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off

No floating required — MRI unit only

Minimum 3-5 years of MRI experience, with at least 12 months of recent core experience in the specialty

Current ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required

Current BLS required

License required if applicable

Epic EMR experience required

Hands-on experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment required

Experience with implantable devices, Neuro, Oncology, Musculoskeletal, ventilated, and sedated patient populations required

At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required for consideration

Supported by a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; travelers will never work alone
