Swahili Village Bar & Restaurant is seeking a passionate, results-driven General Manager to lead our flagship Beltsville location. This is an opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about developing people, driving profitability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, lead a diverse team, and ensure every guest experiences the culture, hospitality, and excellence that define the Swahili Village brand.
What You'll Do
- Lead all front and back of house operations
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop management and hourly team members
- Drive sales growth while maintaining profitability
- Manage labor, food cost, and controllable expenses to achieve financial goals
- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Analyze P&L statements and use key performance indicators to improve business performance
- Execute company initiatives and operational standards
- Partner with corporate leadership to achieve strategic goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of General Manager experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including labor, food cost, inventory, and P&L management
- Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and developing talent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
