Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods that exceed our customers’ expectations. As a Baker Assistant, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, preparing and decorating a variety of sweet and savory treats for our bakery and wholesale clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a range of products, including doughnuts, croissants, pastries, and other baked goods, according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate commercial baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and other machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and handling regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves with a positive impression of our bakery.
- Package and present baked goods attractively for display in our restaurant and for wholesale clients.
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to achieve menu goals and ensure seamless service.
- Develop and implement new recipes and presentation ideas to stay ahead of the competition and keep our menu fresh and exciting.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker Assistant in a bakery, minimum 1 year of experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.
- Excellent pastry and decorating skills.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and ingredients.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and presentation styles.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail in all aspects of baking and presentation.
