We are seeking a passionate and skilled Strength Coach to join our team, focusing on Youth Athletic Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training youth athletes aged 8-18 years, guiding them in areas such as speed development, weight training, coordination, injury prevention, and other sport-specific skills. You will also collaborate closely with our Physical Therapists to support athletes in return-to-sport programs after injuries. Our athletes range from recreational and club levels to High School Varsity and Collegiate levels, representing a diverse set of abilities and sports.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and instruct youth athletes in a range of training techniques, including speed, strength, agility, and coordination development.

Focus on injury prevention techniques and strategies to enhance athletic performance.

Partner with Physical Therapists for integrated return-to-sport protocols for athletes recovering from injuries.

Motivate and mentor athletes, fostering a positive and encouraging training environment.

Organize and lead group clinics focused on various aspects of athletic development.
Schedule

School Year: Primarily afternoons and evenings.

Summer: All-day availability.

Part-Time, Non-Exempt: Approximately 20-25 hours per week.
Qualifications

Preferred Certifications: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or similar certification.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with young athletes and their families.

Proven ability to engage and motivate athletes of all ages, fostering a positive and inclusive training environment.

Strong background in sports training, youth development, and a passion for working with young people.

Experience coaching youth athletes across a variety of sports and skill levels.

Ability to adapt training methods to suit a diverse range of ages, abilities, and personalities.
