We are looking for a truck driver to deliver our product around the Kansas City area pulling a flat bed and/or roll off trailer (training provided), which includes wall panels, roof trusses and lumber material and willing to work in the shop when there are no deliveries. Home every evening.
Must have current DOT physical.
Responsibilities
- Transport our products to job sites in timely manner
- Work in shop building wall panels or roof trusses when there are no deliveries scheduled
- Inspect and upkeep vehicles and trailers
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and parking) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Document and log work/ miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid CDL A with no restriction
