Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Banquet Set Up position is responsible for ensuring the event room is set according to service and operating standards, as well as, maintaining cleanliness in banquet rooms and storage areas.
Essential Functions

Maintain inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations.
Set up banquet rooms per the specifications of a banquet events order (BEO).
Put out tablecloths, place settings and arrange table placement and chairs.
Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
Refresh meeting rooms when guests are on break.
Break down banquet/meeting rooms when events are finished, resetting the room to its original state.
Perform cleaning tasks during the breakdown of service.
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
Performs other duties as directed.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
An event venue and commercial kitchen environment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 75 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This role requires forty, plus hours to include, nights weekends and holidays.
