As a Saw Operator, you are responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut various materials according to specifications. Your primary duties include setting up and running saw machines, loading materials, and ensuring accurate cuts while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards. Additionally, you will be required to inspect materials for defects, maintain barstock and saw supply inventories, help troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
Job Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience operating saw equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
· Prior experience driving a forklift, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Skilled in use of precision measuring tools.
· 2+ years manufacturing experience
· Ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.) when necessary.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
