The Carlson Company in Park City Kansas has an immediate job opening for an Inspector in our machine shop.
This is a full time position.
The Machine Shop Inspector is responsible for performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections in accordance with “In-Process” inspection procedures. Dimensionally inspecting product utilizing various measuring devices. Work independently supporting quality in shop, assembly and engineering.
Knowledge of basic machining and machining practices.
Knowledge of optical measurement systems and measurement techniques.
Understanding of mechanical design practices and standard hardware.
Able to record and maintain records related to the quality process.
Inspect work in all phases of the process including but not limited to manufacturing and assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly documentation.
Responsible for inspecting the quality of work produced and verifying that it meets in house standards.
Required to work closely with machine shop personnel, engineers and assembly technicians to maintain quality products.
Follow safety directives, wear eye and ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Physically able to lift over 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and working in an environment that may be exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.
Ability to use computers for generating reports, keeping records and communication.
One to three years of quality or related experience in a factory environment is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old. You must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. This is a Full time position with benefits and the possibility of overtime.
