Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Guard will monitor premises through surveillance systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Utilize CCTV systems for surveillance and documentation of incidents as necessary.
- Manage conflicts with professionalism, employing de-escalation techniques when required.
- Report any incidents or violations of security policies to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment including CCTV systems is essential.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential threats or issues.
