Position Summary
The Massage Therapist provides professional, therapeutic massage services to clients in their homes or designated locations. Services are delivered in a safe, ethical, and client-centered manner to promote relaxation, comfort, and overall well-being, while adhering to state licensure requirements and agency policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy services based on client needs and preferences
- Utilize various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, relaxation, therapeutic massage) within scope of practice
- Maintain client comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times
- Review client health history and identify contraindications prior to each session
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding treatment goals and expectations
- Accurately document services provided according to agency policy
- Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
- Coordinate scheduling and communicate with agency staff as needed
- Comply with all applicable state and local regulations
Qualifications
- Current state massage therapy license in good standing
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy training program
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to provide services in a client’s home environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor and reliable transportation
