We are seeking a Maintenance and Damage Manager to lead the overall performance of fleet service operations within the City/District. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across maintenance, repair, reconditioning, and vehicle flow, including in-fleeting and de-fleeting activities. As the senior leader on-site, you will own financial performance, develop high-performing teams, and ensure fleet readiness to support a safe and reliable customer experience.
Duties:
- Own and optimize the full P&L for fleet services within the City/District, including forecasting, budgeting, and managing key financial drivers
- Develop, implement, and communicate operating plans to maximize fleet utilization in alignment with company objectives
- Direct and oversee all maintenance, repair, and reconditioning activities, as well as in-fleet and de-fleet operations including preparation for sale, auction, or alternative channels
- Drive performance against key metrics including technician productivity, percent out of service, overdue idle vehicles, vendor cycle time, days to deletion, and venue quality average grade
- Lead and manage Service, Damage, Deletions, and Parts functions to ensure efficient vehicle flow and operational alignment
- Forecast and manage financial performance including S&W per day, warranty recovery, repair costs, and overall fleet efficiency
- Partner cross-functionally with Fleet, Operations, and other key stakeholders to align on business objectives and drive results
- Establish accountability through regular performance reviews, goal setting, and continuous monitoring of KPIs
- Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, development, coaching, recognition, and performance management to build a high-performing culture
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve financial outcomes
- May require travel between locations based on business needs
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; 2–4 year college degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of 3+ years management experience in fleet operations, automotive service, or related field
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving KPI performance
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable plans
- Proactive, collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on business needs
- This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
