Overview
Join our dynamic team as a CAD Drafter specializing in Plot Plans for Inground Pools, where you'll play a vital role in translating complex engineering and architectural concepts into precise, detailed drawings. Duties
- Develop comprehensive plot plans using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software to illustrate site layouts, utility systems, and building infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed 2D schematics and 3D models.
- Create construction detail documentation that adheres to building code requirements and project standards.
- Utilize 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and SolidWorks for complex system design and visualization.
- Incorporate Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to enhance coordination across disciplines and improve project accuracy.
- Review schematics, perform building code analysis, and ensure all drawings meet regulatory compliance.
- Use Bluebeam for markup review, document management, and collaboration on project drawings.
- Assist in system design processes for interior layouts, graphic design elements, and construction details to support project needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting for construction projects or engineering design environments.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, ArchiCAD is highly desirable.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of building code standards and construction detail documentation practices.
- Hands-on experience with BIM tools for integrated project delivery.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans, schematics, and engineering drawings accurately.
- Construction experience or background in interior design is a plus to enhance understanding of project workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong drafting skills in both 2D and 3D environments.
