Qualifications:
High School Graduate
Valid Wisconsin school bus driver license
Evidence of having worked with children in a positive manner in previous employment
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to supervise student behavior in a firm, fair, and consistent manner
General knowledge of motor vehicles, including how component systems operate
Interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with students, teachers, administrators and the public
Ability to reach handles and work with far acuity
Ability to frequently talk, hear, and work with near acuity
Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Current First Aid/CPR certified or willing to obtain
Demonstrated ability to:
work collaboratively
carry out emergency/crisis response procedures
perform all computer technology tasks associated with the position
maintain confidentiality
communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, patrons
