Fenix Construction Company, a leading regional concrete contractor, is currently seeking Local Delivery Drivers for our Kansas City division to assist with the safe loading and unloading of material, delivery of materials to job sites, managing workload and following organizational initiatives throughout the yard.
Responsibilities:
- Handle shipping and receiving of products in the safest, most efficient, manner possible
- Deliver material to specific job sites, as required.
- Accept pick sheets from the Yard Manager, pull the order and load the proper trailer or truck
- Transport all finished goods to their proper place and stacked safely, by forklift
- Maintain the yard inventory in an organized manner, on a daily basis, by making sure all goods are stored in the proper place; inform the Yard Manager of any low inventories detected
- Carry out employment duties in accordance with applicable safety rules and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with small equipment repair
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma
Experience: Will train. Prefer: At least one year of previous experience in construction or other related fields
Skills: Preference will be given to candidates that possess a valid Class A driver’s license, have small engine/equipment repair skills, or both. Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Working Conditions:
- Primary working hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, but vary based on current work load
- Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time up to ten (10) hours per day.
