Job Summary
Vandalia Health is seeking an experienced Ultrasonographer 3 to join our team at Parkersburg Primary Care. This advanced-level role performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to other imaging staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
- Produce accurate, high-quality images for interpretation by providers
- Provide patient education, comfort, and safety throughout procedures
- Serve as a resource for complex or specialized ultrasound studies
- Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting other sonography staff as needed
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Accurately document procedures and findings in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Active ARDMS certification required (RDMS and/or specialty credentials as applicable)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical ultrasound experience required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound imaging techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
