Summary: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for assisting Outside Sales Representatives and meeting the customer’s needs by resolving customer issues with a win/win solution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Communications with Customers:
- Answer primary phone line
- Telemarketing
- Manage Tier 2 Accounts
- Inbound and outbound calls to customers regarding product information, pricing, and availability
- Resolve issues on orders including lost shipments, mis shipments, warranty, and provide a win/win solution for the customer and the company
- Quote requests and order taking
- Customer Follow-ups
- Schedule changes, accurate ship dates, order status (i.e. If order is ready to pickup, order shipment tracking)
- Outstanding AR/payment status, payment method
Assistance to Outside Sales Representatives:
- Assist with outbound emails (ie. sending documents, order confirmations, etc.)
- Complete projects, create reports, pull data (ie. part availability, open orders, pricing sheets, sales per customer, products sold, etc.)
- Assist reps with part availability, price and dealer information while they are travelling
- Check for credit hold on customers
- Input quotes and orders
- Trip scheduling – arrange appointments with customers, flights, hotels, rental cars
Other Duties:
- Accurately complete all paperwork associated with customers and issues including quotes, sales orders, RMAs, etc
- Maintain accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions, fill out KPIs
- Enter new customers into the system
- Call domestic suppliers for prices and availability of parts as needed – notify Purchasing of parts that need to be ordered
- Prospect potential customers and deliver Tier 1 customer leads
Requirements:
- Agricultural Experience/Knowledge preferred
- Organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Customer service attitude
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Teamwork
- Occasional travel to shows etc.
