We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carbon Fiber Lamination Specialist to join our team. This position focuses on the lamination of carbon fiber automotive parts using advanced infusion processing techniques. The role is critical in producing high-quality components that meet industry standards for performance, aesthetics, and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lamination Process Execution: Accurately laminate carbon fiber materials into molds, ensuring proper placement, alignment, and smooth surface finish.
- Infusion Processing: Prepare and execute resin infusion processes, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting to achieve optimal results.
- Material Preparation: Cut, layer, and handle carbon fiber fabrics with precision, adhering to design specifications and project requirements.
- Mold Preparation and Maintenance: Clean, wax, and prepare molds to ensure defect-free part production, maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Quality Control: Inspect laminated parts during and after the process to ensure they meet quality standards for thickness, strength, and visual finish.
- Documentation: Record production details, including material usage, time tracking, and any process variations, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and design teams to implement changes and resolve technical challenges.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, proper handling of materials, and environmental regulations related to carbon fiber and resin processing.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in carbon fiber lamination, resin infusion, or composites manufacturing is highly preferred. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE LAMINATING CARBON FIBER PARTS USING INFUSION PROCESS THAT ARE COSMETIC.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and commitment to producing defect-free components.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with resin infusion systems, vacuum bagging, and related equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift materials as needed.
- Knowledge of Composites: Understanding of composite materials, properties, and the automotive industry's quality standards.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
