Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional purchases through upselling techniques
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist in inventory management by stocking shelves and participating in regular stock checks
- Use effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or assisting with inquiries over the phone
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience or leadership skills in retail environments
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and clearly
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Experience with grocery store operations or retail sales environments preferred
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and stock management
- Excellent customer service skills combined with friendly phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for balancing registers and handling transactions efficiently
