After-School Youth Development - Youth Enrichment & Soccer-Based Programs
Location: Sunnyvale & South Bay communities, including Redwood City, Palo Alto, San Jose and Mountain View
Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per coaching hour
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications and suitability for assigned programs.

Program Schedule:
After-school programs typically run Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–5:30 PM
Additional evening opportunities may be available Monday–Friday | approximately 5:30 PM–7:30 PM
Optional Saturday morning programs may also be available.

First Touch Coaching partners with AYSO PLAY! to deliver high-quality after-school youth development and enrichment programs across Sunnyvale and South Bay communities.
PLAY! is a child-centered youth development program that uses simple soccer-based games, movement and activities to help children feel safe, included and supported.
Our programs help students build:
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Teamwork and social skills
- Positive relationships
- A love of movement and physical activity
This opportunity is about much more than soccer. We are looking for reliable, positive and nurturing people who enjoy working with children and can create safe, engaging and supportive environments where students can learn, grow and have fun.
You do not need to be an experienced soccer coach. What matters most is your ability to connect with children, keep them engaged and create a positive experience. Curriculum resources, activities and program support are provided.

Experience or background working with children in educational settings — including early childhood development, elementary education, substitute teaching, childcare, camps, youth programs, recreation, mentoring or coaching — is highly valued.
What You'll Do
- Deliver fun, engaging soccer-based youth development and enrichment sessions.
- Create safe, inclusive and positive environments for TK–8th Grade students.
- Help students build confidence, teamwork, resilience and positive social skills.
- Use movement, games and age-appropriate activities to keep students engaged.
- Adapt activities to different ages, personalities and abilities.
- Communicate professionally with school contacts, families and program representatives.
- Arrive prepared and reliably fulfil accepted assignments.
Soccer experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule Opportunities
- Weekday Afternoons: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–5:30 PM
- Weekday Evenings: Approximately 5:30 PM–7:30 PM
- Saturday Programs: Optional morning opportunities
You can indicate your preferred availability when accepting opportunities. Assignments are offered based on program needs and your availability.
Additional opportunities may be available across multiple nearby program locations.
