Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products or services, emphasizing upselling opportunities to maximize sales potential
- Manage route driving responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of merchandise while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Conduct merchandising activities at customer locations, maintaining attractive displays and ensuring product availability
- Perform heavy lifting and automobile transportation tasks safely, following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols
- Apply pricing strategies effectively to offer competitive quotes and negotiate deals that benefit both the customer and the company
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, route logs, and inventory levels using organizational skills to ensure seamless operations
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and management to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred
- Strong math skills for calculating pricing, discounts, and route planning
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and transportation safety standards
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting procedures
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively
- Experience in sales or customer service roles is highly desirable; military background is a plus for discipline and organizational skills
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, route driving logistics, and automobile transportation processes
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and vehicle operation
