Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Ironworker/Welders for a commercial construction project in Union, NJ. This role involves structural steel installation, Stick and Flux welding, and working with specialized equipment in a fast-paced jobsite environment.
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, operating equipment, and performing precision welding tasks. This is a great opportunity for skilled tradesmen looking for steady work on a commercial project.
Responsibilities:

Install steel lifting columns and structural components

Perform welding on reinforcing steel and structural elements

Install and assist with hydraulic jacks
-
Perform torch cutting as required
-
Operate manlifts and forklifts safely and efficiently

Read and follow blueprints, layout drawings, and job specifications

Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Requirements:
-
Proven experience as an Ironworker and/or Welder in commercial construction

Valid welding certification required-Flux and Stick
-
OSHA 10 certification required
-
OSHA Subpart R (Steel Erection) knowledge required

Manlift and forklift certifications required

Fall protection training required

Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
